I was given a project to design a campaign for the Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Sac State. I approached this project with the idea to truly capture the festive and joyous nature of Cinco de Mayo. With this idea in mind, I decided to get crafty and create my own custom piñata letters. The piñata letters were photographed from an aerial view with confetti and candy laid around the type. I photographed my co-worker swinging at the letters to mock the sense of the piñatas breaking. Although a tedious process, this campaign was probably the most fun to create and correspondingly has also allowed me to add “Piñata Master” to my resumé.
